Well, shit. I was just on the Halo wiki and I almost got major spoilered. I didn't know Glasslands for a sequel of sorts to Ghosts of Onyx. I have been waiting almost 6 years for a sequel and I had no idea it came out last year. Funny because I bought all the Halo ebooks from the Kobo website, but I didn't read most of the newer ones. I probably didn't notice Glasslands because Eric Nylund didn't write it.

I really don't think this is Halsey, at all, not gonna argue about it but it's what I think and I'm with Zac on this.

If that was the Admiral, then she sure as hell wouldn't be seen wearing a lab coat.
