America is kind of a douch for taking the slang name for two entire continents as its own.

Not all United States citizens call the United States of America just "America." I usually just call it the U.S. and often correct myself when accidentally calling it America in the respect that there are two continents with America in the name. I will say, however, American society and American culture can be in reference to those belonging to the United States of America. In fact, one might say, oh I don't know, that the United States of America is often nicknamed "America" because of the "America" found at the end of the United States of America. Because who the fuck would waste the time to say "I'm United States of American?"

It's not like everyone is saying all of North America is the U.S. or anything, if that's what you're implying. That's why it's NATO and not ATO, bro.

And yes, I absolutely intended to make a big deal out of nothing. I hope no one is actually offended by this because by doing so you offend me for being offended by my non-offensiveness.
