Planetside 1 Going Free to Play on or about April 23rd!

I hope I'm aloud to post this in here. Planetside is basically a scifi MMOFPS Game (Massively multiplayer online first person shooter). They will be allowing us to play the game for free starting on or about april 29.

If you like halo and mmo games I highly suggest giving the game a chance, in the past you could have up to 300v300v300 people on one "continent/planet/"area"" Theres 3 sides Terran Republic (Speed base weaponry) New Comglamorate (Power based weaponry) and the Vanu Sovereignty (alien based weapons).

The objectives of the game are to capture bases by "hacking" there control consoles as well as hacking towers each of which have "spawn Tubes" Where players respawn. I'm gonna avoid leaving a wall of text here thats too big to read and just post a video though instead so you can get an idea for the strategic styled gameplay. (Squads Platoons; and Outfits [basically in-game clans you can join]).

This ones a little longer but gives you an idea of how the strategic side of the game works (voice chat and squading together)



Thats just one aspect of the strategy.. you can even perform drops on base roofs with air transport vehicles.

Its gonna be free to play soon and I highly recommend giving it a shot. The only part that might be difficult is learning the controls give it some time though. This game is

In all seriousness, I think it would be cool to see Planetside 2's roots. There's all this chatter of the "good ol' days" of Planetside 1. I'm curious how good they really were.

Its different from planetside 2 better mechanics than 2. It had amazing teamwork imo

Because its better; the only problem is going to be getting players to play it.. once u get a taste of 300v300v300 and squads and the strategy involved I'm sure you'll love it.. the only problem is going to be getting enough players to play it.. its sort of has a learning curve but once you understand everything like the base structures and how to hack bases and level up and by certifications to specialize your character as either engineer (main can repair stuff) hacker (can open locked enemy doors and capture bases via hacking control consoles) Then theres also antivehicular wepaonry anti air.. and also heavily armored "MAX" suits. And also Medical... you can get certifications for aerial vehicles and get a ton of passengers to "Hot Drop" Out of them ontop of bases. Then theres also Command Rank for those of you that want to be leaders. Theres alot to it. More customization than what planetside 2 offers... they dumbed planetside 2 down and it sort of took away from the experience.. the best thing about it is the graphics..

Its alot to take in but once you get going i'm sure you'll be wondering why the hell they made ps2 the way they did. (along with thinkin the same as all the ps1 veterans about ps2)
