H2V does not have self-shadowing and if it does, they haven't used it.

Also, the graphics look pretty good for a 3 year old game. The thing that bothers me is that it's extremely unoptimisted, the performance is just unacceptable.

Ok, I finally got H2V, and I just have to say, it is extremely beautiful. The first level was a bit overbumped or something, because it seemed graphically inferior. However, after that it became very nice. Some things, like the heat waver seen on some weapons fire (the scarab, for example) rival even some current games. Other stuff isn't as awe-inspiring, but I am still very impressed. It exceeded my expectations by A LOT. Sure, the live stuff might be a pain to get started, but gameplay and graphics are very cool. [/rant]
