stops working at opening screen

got halo 2 vista a couple of days ago,installed no problem,but when game starts it gets as far as halo 2 opening screen, then get message game has stopped working.i have a dell inspiron/6400 laptop that meets all specks.have reinstalled game but same thing again

What exactly is your video card? It could be insufficient to play the game (many PC games simply play the first cutscene and then refuse to continue).

Hmm, that's weird, it should be able to run the game.

Check the manual and Bungie's forums, also check your video and Vista drivers.

Remember that the video drivers have to be from the manufacturer. Stock ones from ATI or Nvidia on mobile chipsets don't work.
