    I doubt the LIVE! service would work on XP. I don't have a sources to back this up with, but I was under the impression that it used LIVE Anywhere service that is specifically made for Vista.

    Live does work, you just have to run the installer from the DVD. The problem is that there doesn't seem to be any way to run the activation.

    No, I was talking about the LIVE Anywhere service. Microsoft introduced it into the Vista in part with their "Games for Windows" marketing. It allows for you to have LIVE on a "wide variety of platforms and devices" such as the computer, your 360, and even a mobile phone.

    XP and Vista are two different platforms, but XP is not supported.
