Awesome Brutes!! Those look so much better than the previous ones. Hell I probably would have settled for the earlier ones. But this is just Christmas in July!! Thanks guys, can't wait to eat those brutes alive on teh POA!!!

Old one before Dano poured on the polish. The lines on chest and thigh pads were Mental Ray glitches with anisotropic filtering.



Thats the latest texture I have -- Dano probably has better ones.

It'll be dumped opensource whenever Dano's confident its release quality.

Didn't even know the new one existed until last night, so I don't have any screencaps of it unfortunately. Just my own, of course.

i liked the old one actually. it looked less tubby than the halo 2 ones. i am very impressed with these however. theyre halo 3esque. your brutes have probably given every ape-rhino-man on earth a massive boner. good work

sorry for being a total canon fag but the brutes only got the H3 armor because the elites separated from the Covenant. :X
Although you probably already know that, God I feel like a faggot. Oh well, the H3 ones are cooler anyway.

There's nothing to support that they didn't have it before - they may have always had it available. I find it very hard to belive that every brute was equipped with new armor just like that over (presumably) less than a month. While Bungie may have developed it for that reason, I think it's safe to assume that Brutes had this kind of armor long before the Elites left.
