For those of you that don't know, CMT is releasing a public beta of SPV2's A10 (The Pillar of Autumn) today, and there will be a HUGE amount of new users registering and coming to this forum. Now, none of us really "like" new kids who are clueless about this game, but it is of the utmost importance that we be our best in the coming days. This is one of the few opportunities we have to expand our community and draw in a huge amount of new players. So, for this upcoming week, let's drop the memes, drop the (un)funny jokes, DROP OUR TENDENCY TO BE JERKS TO NEWCOMERS, and treat our new forum members the best we can.

To our new members, we have expectations of you too. You are expected to behave well. You are expected to thoroughly read and abide by the site rules and understand the penalties for breaking those rules. Our patience is not unlimited. We will be actively cleaning up useless threads/posts and removing new members who prove themselves to be more trouble than their presence is worth. If you do not think before you post, or consider whether your post is a valuable question or contribution instead of a simple-minded "lol this is kool", or search before you ask a question, or type in a legible manner, you will not have an enjoyable stay here. The release will direct people to here and Halomaps for questions and more information regarding the mod.

Where's the level going to be uploaded to? If Halomaps, it's going to take forever to download, especially with a million fanboys downloading it as well. Are we going to have mirror options?

His powers are strictly limited to CMT-related threads only. All posts from this point out can be moderated by him. Since I don't really feel like reading through pages of posts, and it's basically his duty to read through them for feedback, he is the one who is going to be moderating his threads.

Don't need any kind of account to have unlimited Megaupload downloads. Plus, their servers are super fast as well.

yeah modacity's bandwidth usage would shoot through multiple proverbial roofs if spv2 is only hosted here and halomaps

I'm pretty sure the Modacity server can handle the downloads. It's even a completely separate server from the site so there is no chance of the site going down. I think we're just waiting on Masters for his blessings or if he is waiting for it to go up on Halomaps.

Depends on whatever Dennis decides. The SPv1 section is relatively new, anyway. Besides, it'll be on the front page for a while.
