No, its a legitimate argument. I think that most, if not all, the halo 3 sounds are better than any on halo 1 and 2.
I personally like the Halo 3 SMG sounds more, but i like the Halo 2 BR sounds more

What I think would be an armored flood marine would look like is that the brownish\greyish armor plates would be on the original flood marine model, since that's what the elite flood is like.

I think I prefer H1's assault rifle sounds to H3's. H3's sounded like a plastic toy to me. "Blaka blaka" SMG was beast though, although the H2 one I didn't really hate too much. The clanks to the Sniper and Battle Rifle were kind of cool too, sounded more realistic to a gun, and less futuristic than they were in H2.
Also, wtf Gamma, you're not gonna win anyone over with a statement like that. What you should have done is made your own thread to promote your site instead of getting all clan-y.

My only complaint about the AR is that the bolt reciprocation is too slow.
Is it any better than the old builds I have? the bolt didn't really reciprocate at all, it went back and stayed back during fully automatic fire.
The bolt does stay back during automatic fire, and when you stop shooting, the bolt is slow to move back.

Why don't you just can it. You didn't notice it in H1 because of the low res textures. If we went and reverted to those you'd complain how it's ugly and should be redone.
B/C40 is going to be going through some seriously cool environmental changes once we have the new BSPs done, so don't even expec tthe pyramid to look the same as it does now when we're done.
Instead of telling people that they should just stop talking, why don't you just change the shader to a more low-key ground bitmap that doesn't include a distinct texture?
What's res got to do with what I said? I couldn't give a shit if it were half the res of the other H1 textures, as long as it didn't look bad.
I'm complaining that it looks like no rock I've ever seen. That it looks incredibly unnatural and out of place with all the other geology on halo.
Well that's what we may be doing. Regardless, it's always going to look out of place when you are using a quality cliff texture on something like an unnatural rock bridge.
It's tiring to hear people complain about things that are not our fault, that we have no practice way of changing, yet even after we tell people off about it several times, they seem to ignore it.

It's not our fault Bungie decided to do the UVs in the manner they did, so it looks tacky on some surfaces.
The cliffs look fine. Halo has always been bad for cliffs anyway.

The difference is that Snaf knows what he's talking about, and can identify exactly what's wrong with something that needs to be fixed since he's a professional.
FYI, yes I had been spamming grenades into that hallway. The shotgun animations are fine. Both pictures where the shotgun is held were taken while standing still.

Different class flood elites ftw. Do the floodified elites have any stat increases based on what class the elite that got infected was? I only ask because I see a major and zealot flood elite.

Unfortunately no, but we had an idea for new bsps in c10, where you would see captured elites in tanks where a single flood form would be introduced that would show their infection, and then the glass would shatter and it would attack you, and the ensuring firefight would blow open otehr tanks full of flood infection forms and stuff. But then we realised we were working with h1. :(.
Oh and the higher the amour on an elite flood form, the stronger their shields.
