Poor people. I'm sure they all have trauma earlier in their lives about that sort of thing. But its like getting molested by clergy. You're not about to tell your family, let alone a stranger on national television.
I've only just gotten over my fear of strange dogs because of our kelpie (I was chased around the school by a stray and then bitten in year 3), still a bit edgy around cockroaches. I don't freak out at the mere sight of them, but I don't like when they come near me. You can blame Mouse Hunt for that, where the mayor guy eats one and has a heart attack :F

but what i did is i forced myself to confront them.
i just thought logically that... this was a bird fucking 1 20th of my size, the mother fucker should FEAR ME!
and vertigo, i took an interest in climbing trees and rock climbing and that sorta thing.
you truly do have to face your fears.

Birds in general seem to get along pretty well with me, escaped pets and even a few of the tamer wild birds have been known to land on me if I stand still for a while :P
