Do bones need to have materials or something?
Not sure, I usually put materials on them anyway just in case tool freaks over it. I'd guess a "yes" however.
"triangle->material_index>=0 &&triangle->material_index<old_material_count" Looks like you have triangles assigned materials that do not exist. The material index is apparently greater than the material count of your scene.
alright, I was dumb and didn't add the pound symbol to the markers, which had no material.

Well, if it's another elementary mistake, you could make sure every part of the biped is a child of the frame and being exported properly.
Honestly, though, the only thing you are gaining with that new model is an extra helping of aliasing artifacts. But if you're just messing around, that's fine.

And yeah I'm really just messing around at this point, I'll only use it if I can make it work and look good, so we'll see what happens.
