Not yet but apparently the new PM of Ukraine is essentially taking Russia's moves as a Decleration of War, so uhh, they got that going for them.

And then you have the leader of Crimea, an autonomous republic, asking Russia for help (not to mention Crimea is quite pro-Russia and is mostly composed of ethnic Russians). Ukraine is claiming that government (Crimea) is unconstitutional but... is it? It *is* an autonomous republic.

Crimea is not independent; this would be the equivalent of Texas appealing to Mexico for armed assistance because it's got gang wars making hell.

Wasn't Texas looking to split from the US?

Yeah, if you consider Texas as something capable of putting up a Change.org petition instead of the actual government buildings that decide fate for residents.
