Re: Modifying the difficulty settings
I see, btw, this also does not bypass the shared map file for edited tags, now say, we had all tags extracted from the shared map files and the mainmenu into the tags folder, and then we deleted them, what would happen? Would it not compile? Or would it compile with the new tags?
BTW, is there a way to change the globals tag to something else, such as globals1.globals, and have it function as if it was a modified globals.globals tag?
Re: Modifying the difficulty settings
If you want modified stock assets to appear in your map, you need to rename them. It's just like Halo CE, only now it's almost all tags instead of just bitmaps and sounds.
Re: Modifying the difficulty settings
how will the game know that when I dont have a globals.globals to use the globals1.globals tag?
Re: Modifying the difficulty settings
Probably not. Just modify the matg and hope that it's not in shared.map.
Re: Modifying the difficulty settings
In the multiplayer globals tag there wasn't anything that I saw for speed and such, most of that was just in globals.globals :S
and globals.globals is in shared.map

This is exactly what I was looking for, thanks. Now the only problem is that there's no difficulty setting for enemy melee damage. It looks like I'd have to modify the damage values directly. Can anybody tell me if that's possible, and if so, which tags to mess with?
