Re: What's going on with E3 this year?
Well that's fine considering you said you've only got a laptop now. If you get a desktop in the future though you'll definitely have no excuse unless you already have the consoles.
I don't get people who already have a desktop that's capable of being a half-decent gaming PC with nothing but an upgraded/added discrete GPU and maybe some memory. Easily doable for that same $400 - $600 budget. Although if you've already got the consoles, I guess you've locked yourself in for another cycle from the financial-practicality perspective.
I'm done with consoles forever unless something durastic changes with the PC gaming scene or consoles obtain the ability to use multiple input methods (specifically keyboards and mice natively). Biggest thing that turns me away from consoles is the clunky controllers.

FTFY.
This has always been the case, nothing has changed. PC has always been the better option in the long run.
Re: What's going on with E3 this year?
Some games feel much better with a controller to me, actually. I'm quite enjoying AC4 with a controller, and Halo works damn well with a controller too (though I'm also great with a keyboard because of so much Halo PC). I like the ability to actually change my movement speed without having to crouch or hold down shift to walk either.
*Ahem* Okay, well, in other news, looks like there's a "new" battlefield game about police:

Aka it looks like it should be an expansion pack to BF4 but we'll see, standalone so far it looks like I guess? It's under development by EA Visceral (the guys of Dead Space), not DICE.
Lots of cool police gamemodes like hostage rescue or bank heists. Single Player is like a TV show which could be cool considering, again, this is made by the Dead Space developers.
Edit: Video got turned to private. Blah.
Re: What's going on with E3 this year?
I only use my wired 360 controller on games that have shitty mouse acceleration that can't be turned off. Like watch dogs right now.

Re: What's going on with E3 this year?
Halo 5's gonna be about Cortana reaching out to the Chief, he goes rogue looking for her, and ONI hunts him down. :nigel:
Re: What's going on with E3 this year?
Probably. Cortana will somehow get a corporeal form and then she can finally bang the Chief, cementing Halo 4+ as fan-fiction.
Re: What's going on with E3 this year?
Nah, some Forerunner tech will digitize the MC (a la Prometheans) and then Cortana and him will twiddle each other's bits.
That way they can still release with an M rating instead of AO
Re: What's going on with E3 this year?
But guis, what away Cortana being blasted away into the nothingness of time?
