Most recent beta really surprised me. Never in a million years would I have suspected that a level with such an unique style and layout would lend itself to astonishingly good gameplay. Looking forward to final release much more now :D
That's nice to hear! Happy you enjoyed... this is because its not a them parc as people can imagine before trying it.. it's a dam think and rethink complex strategicly created in each detail to serve one thing : The gameplay.

No more bitching about putting in any kind of random useless shit.
What made v1 so great was its gameplay and uniqueness, but it never went overboard, and any regular Halo CE player (such as myself) could use it with no problem.
Now here's v2... and you want to integrate it with OpenSauce?(I don't even know what that is). Won't that make the map like, 10 times more complicated to use?
Let me just say, If I have to do anything more than click the map and gametype to choose my vehicles and host a server... I'm not downloading.

Using OS is not complicated at all. It's as simple as copying and pasting a dll into your Halo CE directory and never having to touch it again. I don't know why people make it out to be harder than it actually is.
But as I stated earlier, I don't agree with forcing people to use OS in Yoyo V2. It is pointless to use it for the sole purpose of MTV. Why would you want to help your enemies by driving them around? Dwood, just give it a rest. Yoyorast doesn't want to use it, end of story.

If a map uses OS, I feel the introduction of OS needs to happen at the start of the map creation. Not during or at the end of the map.
OS in a map, designed for the use of OS would be phenomenal, the only reason I havent ventured into it, is because stubborn Dennis won't allow maps if they require OS to play, what an opportunity wasted.

Hes said in the past that he could never get OS to work for his Halo, mainly because hes and idiot and stuff. Hence why Jcap made the OS debug thread, Dennis said he wouldnt accept OS stuff, he may have changed his mind, but I very much doubt it.

This not a pity party nor is it an OS rage-fest. You know damn good and well OS doesn't have to be integrated at any specific time nor is it THAT FUCKING HARD to put into the root folder of halo. You've all learned time and time again "In the end, it's going to come out the way the creator wants it to". While staying on topic of this thread, that means Yoyo wants his map without OS. Well, FUCK. That's something anyone can agree on! The whole idea of including OS or not IS IN-FACT IRRELEVANT. The idea has been opened for HUMOR. So, when this is over with, in the end Yoyo WILL decide whether or not he wants OS or not, it's not for you to decide. It's up to yoyo whether he prefers OS over classic due to extended gameplay, whther it just be for spawning MTV's or not.
Take it in good and clear and ask yourself "What's the harm in giving this guy a chance to change our experience? Sure, I might have to add a file IN THE GODDAMN ROOT FOLDER, seeing as how this will help me in my game experience with the map, Am I willing enough to move my hand a LITTLE more and do about 1 MORE click just to do this?"
Note: You can add on the to the .dll with more and more OS's applications with just combing them, or you can just replace the ONE file in your root folder and be done for the rest of your days.
Fucking quit it guys, read up on things, then give it an educated opinion. Stop being so lazy you can't even give it a decent thought of how things will improve or deteriorate experience in the long run. Not to get too personal, but, seriously? it's people like this that will wreck me all the way to my own suicide.
btw although it may not sound like it, I'm totally Bias on the OS and "classic" debate.

Fine, Yoyorast, go ahead and release the map without OS MTV.
If it's wanted I can host an MTV enabled server for awhile, all the end user would have to do is make sure they get the d3d9.dll file for OS MTV and place it in their installation root directory.

Geez, more drama than a hospital scene in a mexican soap opera. I just want to play the map - however the author releases it. Some people need to lighten up.
I appreciate and wish I was as skilled as many of you in making maps. It also seems that some have lost touch with the simple enjoyment of game play. Including gameplay that is solely dependent on the players ability and adaptability within different maps. Especially issues that may resemble a flaw to the modelers/makers is only a unique attribute that is fun to everyone else. On one hand I envy your skill, on the other, I wish you could enjoy the game like everyone else who is not a map maker/modeler.
Don't forget the audience, and don't cater to every nit-picking-squabling nerd that claims they represent the audience's interest.
Release it however you wish, but do it soon please. And thank you to all who contributed to it (including the nit-picking-squabling nerdy assmunchers for shutting the hell up, and putting ego aside).

People typically create things to their standards, not to the audience's. This is especially true in the arts, and I think map-making is very much an art. This nit-picking "nerd" process is necessary for a well-polished map that the creator can feel proud of. I understand that you have different standards, but your impatience means nothing and makes no difference. I imagine a lot of the things that make maps fun were the product of nit-picking like this, but of course it goes unknown by the people who play the map. The design process isn't what the player sees when they play.

I don't think V2 will have any problems with popularity, just look at the hype around it and how popular V1 was. The only reason it's not one of the most played maps anymore is that people finally got bored of it (only took 2 years) and V2 is definetly better from what I've played of it.

actually aybll you're server isnt as popular as it once was as POQ has encroched on your zombie territory and i had forgotten you had one up cause last I played CE for other than testing it was down. so yeah not poitned at you in general
and v2 may get lukewarm reception some people i talk to while playing CE said they hated v1 for unkown reasons (probably because they suck at not getting spawnkilled amirite?)
