I'm still not really digging the inside band of the Ark. I'm not so creative so I can't really say what would go there... maybe some gaping interior that holds tech involved in the ring's construction? It looks so... dull compared to everything around it.
Agreeing with the aforementioned idea, thus turning it into your current directive - whenever three people who actually know what they're talking about agree on a design decision, you MUST follow it.
You'd think you'd see atleast one of the Ark's fins, aswell. :eyesroll:

Put a little more emphasis on the orange gas. Way too white and clear right now, and way too little.
Also, two things:
1. High Charity on the ring makes no sense at all...unless this map miraculously takes place in the extremely short span between the time you activated the third tower and the time of the "two betrayals."
2. It looks way too clear. With the haze, that should be WAY more concealed, like it is at the end cutscene of The Covenant (you can just barely see it).
Also, why do the clouds seem low-res and stretched?

I think you mean on the ark. Yes, it takes place right after you activate the third tower. I don't think there's a problem with that.

You mean the clouds around the core right? It's just the big black turds that makes it obvious. I'm hesitant about making the textures any bigger since the sky tags together are over 20.8 mb. In fact, I should go back and see where I can use compression or 16 bit textures.
Actually jcap has a point. High Charity was only in the sky for a few seconds.
The problem with High Charity is that it looks like it's on a different layer than the rest of the sky. Looks like it somehow crashed without intersecting with the Ark.

Highcharity looks like it's floating ontop of the ring, not at all like it's crashed. I know you're going to try and fix that up, but might I suggest some way of linking the two parts together? perhaps there are flood tentacles tieing it to the ring?
I really have no idea how long HC was crashed (never played that far into H3 vOv), but something like that is needed to bring the two peices onto the same level.

If we used CMT's vehicles, we would need their entire vehicle set, otherwise it would look pretty out of place with the stock vehicles :\
ignore the odd line/seam, it only shows up in max for some reason. It's fine ingame. I also fixed the ark fins not showing up ingame; all I can say is use the mirror modifier on faces and not tools>mirror. The latter made the mirrored object go missing whenever I tried for some reason.
Also, this isnt a good representation of how things are located in the sky. The camera in the render is much lower than where the level would be.

Easily the most beautiful skybox I've seen for a custom map and a damn sight better than most I've seen in games. Absolutely top-notch work, Con, and I'm saying that because I honestly believe it, not because you're a mate and I'm too soppy to offend mates. :downs:

The sky and lightmaps don't actually match, go figure, but I'm not going to spend hours waiting for this piece of shit to pump out low quality lightmaps.
Also the glass shaders are still being worked on. They don't seem to render properly on either of my computers, so I haven't even tried to fix them :X
Use the default b30 shaders for the glass if yours aren't working properly.
Is the texture custom? If its not then that doesn't make any sense.
You should get dee to light map this too, would look cool, but I see you still need to finish populating it and finishing the bsp.
Go into the glass shader and make sure it is not set to BUMPED CUBEMAP at the bottom it should be radiosity bumped or whatever. That causes the rainbow shit.
What's going on with Halo in the backround? The ring looks like it's going up and then, there's a messed up intersection where it looks like it's tipped to a diagnal angle. /:| is that supporsed to be where it broke and is floating in mid-space?
