Uh, if the helicopter is sitting on a massive turntable, regardless of whether the rotors move in the opposite direction or not, they won't be moving relative to the plate. So why wouldn't it take off?
No, it still wouldn't work. The rotors need to be moving in relation to the air in general, not the helicopter itself. Unless you had something creating an airflow strong enough and in a circular motion, you would need the rotors to reach a certain amount of revs in a certain direction. It would only take off if they were rotating in the same direction as the table or if the rotational speeds were dramatically different.
But the entire mechanism that moves the rotors is also moving. It's like shooting a bullet from a moving train.

The treadmill's motion can not keep the plane from moving forward as it only applies any force at the wheels, which are independent from the forward force of the props / jets. The wheels will just rotate faster.Quote:
