    Standard Specs Q

Hey all, i just have the usual specs questions regarding the laptop im getting this week and whether or not it'll be able to run h2v, here are the specs:

    HP Pavilion DV9339 Series
    1.7 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo (t550 i think)
    2 GB ram
    nVidia GeForce 7600 w/ 256 MB dedicated
    Windows Vista Home premium
    17' in screen

I kno these types of q's get annoying but i hope someone can give me a good estimate. Thnx

You'll probably be able to run it ok on medium to medium high settings. That processor is a bit slow though.

You'll do fine. On my laptop it's the same, but the cpu is .1 ghz slower. I can run it at 1280x720 medium settings 4xAA and keep a steady 20-30 fps. Don't listen to muffin, the cpu is not slow. He doesn't know what he's talking about.

Xetsuei is right, just because H2V requires a 2.00Ghz Pentium 4 does not mean that the processor is slow. It is a Core 2 Duo - that 1.7Ghz C2D easily kills and owns a 3.00Ghz Pentium 4 outright.

The video card is good, so you're fine.

    Enjoy H2V.

$1300 for this laptop? Excellent deal with excellent specs. You won't run JUST H2V well - you will run many games very well.

Kiwi, the processor opinion wars shouldn't be started here.

To be honest, I've been using AMD's since I was 12, never owned an intel computer of my own. But I have used Intel computers quite a bit in my time, and I'd have to say, that the performance and speed these days are hit in great spots in such different categories, that you cannot really choose a favorite.

On my next build, I might have to save up for two PC's... I sort of want the best of both worlds.
