I should be able to play halo 2 with something close to the same graphical quality, and get the same performance.

You would think, but I played Halo PC with a hi res textures mod, conscars bloom thing, and forced 8x anisotropy and STILL got 90 FPS. H2v on medium which looks like shit by comparison puked up about 25.
