Honestly I'll never understand statements like these. Why are humans allowed myriad different design styles but the Forerunner are limited to gray panels and 45 degree angles?

Have you ever looked closely at a sentinel? Think that style, then try applying it to a large mech. The drawing doesn't have any shapes that would make me think that it's forerunner. In the same way that Sentinels keep with the tradition of angular shapes, any mech that the forerunner would have made would have shared the same design characteristics, in my opinion.

More sleak and shiny = forerunner.

    Less exposure and gaps.

Because almost all of the surviving forerunner things were built at the same time by the same people in the same style?

I mean, If you look at a Humvee and you look at an Abrams, you'll notice the difference in style between that and a Mark 1 and a First World War field piece.

Also, it needs to be distinctly recognizable as forerunner, where as human things are built off a massively larger preexisting frame of reference for the various styles of human construction.

To cite an obvious example, Delta Halo had some very different looking structures from Alpha Halo (which obviously weren't built at the same time by the same people).
