    [WIP] Glass Horizon

    The story so far:

    Just before the attack on Harvest, the Glass Horizon, the largest passenger ship ever built, left Earth's atmosphere with over a hundred thousand people on board. Their goal was to settle nearby worlds to expand humanity's territory and relieve the overpopulation that plagued Earth's inhabitants. The Glass Horizon was not overly grandiose, but was suitable for supporting large numbers of people for long periods of time, until a permanent world could be found.

    For a while the ship moved from planet to planet, sending messages to home and leaving traces of its passing. Then, however, all contact was lost. Search parties were sent out to try to find where it had gone, but to no avail. Soon after, Harvest fell to the Covenant, and all efforts were shifted to defend humanity.

    A few months ago the ship drifted into the Sol system. A team of specialists were sent in to investigate. Not a soul could be found on board. Everything was still functioning, but the ship was adrift. Even now an investigation is being run to try to solve the mystery of the Glass Horizon.
    I plan on making the idea of the 'Glass Horizon' a series of maps set in different parts of the ship. In this particular incarnation of the Glass Horizon, the ship's Engineering room with an adjacent “Cargo Distribution Center” (CDC) take center stage. The two large rooms are connected by a two way conveyor network somewhat similar to Elongation's, except on a much grander scale. The map is littered with hints as to the fate of the Glass Horizon, but rather than ramble, I'll answer questions about the map as asked.

    What's keeping me from releasing it now includes:
    1)Problems with portaling (disappearing faces)
    2)Proper net game equipment placement (to ensure balanced game play)
    3)Proper net game flag placement (to again ensure balanced game play)
    4)Minor problems with some shaders for the monitors

    I'll consider any suggestions, and I'll post a walk-through video in the near future so you'll be able to better assess how game play is going to work.

    I love it. Looks just like something bungie might make. Too bad I don't have H2V. Also, theres a lot of nice wips at the moment.

    That 4th pic with lots of red is really primitive looking, sort of reminds me of CS 1.6. Also, how big is it? Other than that, the map looks fucking amazing with huge amounts of detail.

    I don't know what CS 1.6 is =/, could you elaborate? Otherwise, the map is a little less thatn 17,000 3ds max units long. Here's a video of the map to give you a better idea:

    Well just based on what I've seen, betas usualy kill the final release of maps. So I'm going to stick to trying to find a few people to test my map in a locked server until the final release is ready.
