Can you get them in small quantites?
I've had the same 12 ml pot of black paint since mid 06. Shit lasts forever.

Maybe, I've never had to look for them in small quantities. They do come in a spray form, so maybe spraying a bit in a bottlecap or something would suffice for you. Other than that, I'd say start working with catalyzed primers as well, though that might be a bit excessive for what you do. I hate solvent based paints and primers.
