If you don't know about the ole' magnet on monitor thing, well you haven't lived.

Used to do it all the time on my school computers, then they got some nice flat panels and I stopped hehe.

too bad every crt ive ever seen has a degauss feature which eliminates any distortion caused by a magnet.

and i don't think it even effects lcds...

I have some old CRTs in my house that dont have it. And you you fuck a monitor up so bad with a magnet no matter how many times you degauss it, it wont return to perfect condition.
