that is kinda discrimination, this is HALO's birthday, not modacity's. I think anyone here should have the right to join the server at the given time. restricting it to just a few oldbies isn't in the halo spirit

I think that by doing this you alienating members jsut because you can...very selfish if you ask me

another thing is that chances are if you do allow people in who aren't oldbies, you'll just end up kicking them because you're friends want in...this is a sign of admin abuse on your part and it doesn't seem right, eventually people get tired and head to other places.

Also, you guys have to remember one thing, it's the birthday, not a reunion, randomers wont be kicked. However if they, or say for example, people who never played in beavis's bunghole joined a bunghole reunion, expect them to be kicked, because they have nothing to do with the server's purpose.

Kicking randomers, or others from this server is admin abuse if the server is not password, because randomers shouldnt be getting ahold of the pass =)

putting a password on the server is once again discriminating, Halo is a game meant to be played by all (or those who are atleast the legal age hopefully or have a good level of maturity behind them)

there is no true harm in letting someone in there, just go ahead and protect the damn server with a password if you're so worried about another one of Halo's players comes into the server expecting to play the game he bought and then the special stand alone program he downloaded after legally purchasing the game

but whatever, I'm still going to be on CE this week and if I see an open slot and its not locked by a password (probably will you people are so paranoid about CE players it seems) I'm going to enter the server and enjoy Halo because its a game I LEGALLY purchased to PLAY on servers, not to be kicked out of the server just because a server administrator's butt buddy wants to come in...

but like I originally said, I'll let the "cool people" figure out what to do, I've already got most of those maps listed because I enjoy maps and its getting tiring of playing failgrove most of the time because its not a very broad selection...it normally (for me) comes down to:
"hmm, should i play snow grove, coldsnap, or yoyorast"

"oh cool, they're running H2CE coag" or "hey look a server that doesnt run stock maps in its cycle or plays those 3 maps over and over usign different gametypes"

I understand the "bunghole reunion" but that would be fun because chances are it would play a server rotation containing GOOD maps

This is why we are passwording the server. The average random halo CE player has the maturity of a 10 year old. Most randoms subtract from the enjoyability of the game with their constant whining, and bitching. Hell we had the server unpassworded for a short time on grove last time we did this and over 10 minutes about 6 pubbies showed up and cried and bitched about aimbots and cheats and whatnot, we do not want these people to come in and cunt up the game.

Yeah that's obviously it, we hate the halo ce community.
