Seriously, take a look at the back of the Halo 1 Banshee (not the H2 or H3 one).
The cockpit hatch looks like the duck's bill, and then, near the top, there are 2 red "eyes" which aren't there in H2 or H3.
First time I played Halo I saw that and thought it looked a hell of a lot like an evil duck.
