And it goes with the whole Brute PR thing. Hell, if the two PRs use different projectiles, you could even give them different damage modifiers against brute and elite shields. Deepen the gameplay a tiny bit.
I've been thinking that since SPv1. On top of all that unnecessary bump it also looks like the whole ship is coated with a layer of plastic wrap. Just another instance where I think bungie's original looked better. I thought covenant architecture was supposed to be smooth and polished.

The elite's shields pop out so much, it looks bizarre.
A lot of covenant stuff is derived from forerunner tech, and forerunner stuff is also shiny and smooth. Therefore it would appear logical for covenant textures to remain generally smooth and shiny unless lit by a dynamic light.![]()
