i got the goatse.cx reference but i dont get how i am looking at goatse

It's one of those weird illusion photos where you have to kinda unfocus your eyes, and look "behind" the image. It creates a 3D representation if you do it properly.

Depth isn't inverted.

You can cross your eyes two ways; inward (this is easier) or outward (not so much.) You have to go outward here.
