ARMA II maxed graphics really isn't that good. It takes a powerful computer, sure, but that's just because of the draw distance. :/

To be completely honest, I think farcry 2 had better view models, but ARMA II has pretty good environments. ARMA II's view models and animations were absolute trash.

To directly answer your question, yes, you could compare it to that. But minus all the action at every corner going on with farcry 2.

Is this mainly a multiplayer game like BF2? I didn't even know such a game existed, it looks pretty cool. I was a big fan of the huge ass open sandbox battles that were the likes of BF2.

ArmA is a military-used simulator...as such, graphics are not the chief concern and neither is performance on our rigs which don't happen to be super-computing clusters.

Thus, Crysis. Or id Tech 5 (see RAGE).
