    Project IRIS needs your help!

hey modacity users, long time to see. I'm here today because my team needs some specialized help. I'm sure some of you remember HRH. It's been moving around quite frequently--for a while we tried getting it to work in unreal, didn't really pan out, and thusly moved to crysis two months ago, where we're stuck today. You see, we're all lazy jerks who just got around to trying to put things into crysis (we're all busy in meatspace) and it came to be that we all realized we knew nothing on scripting in crysis--the simplest task of editing weapons is giving us hell. Frooster and I can get things ingame like bipeds, fp hands, etc, but past asset creation we have no idea how to set up weapons, vehicles, characters, or anything. If any of you can help--or know anybody that can help--please contact us.

We could use some artists who know what they're doing...for stuff like architecture, foliage, etc. We're keeping the team tiny, for now at least.

We know what we're aiming for--we just don't have a vehicle to reach that goal yet. And since i'm not a jerk who posts "I HAVE A GREAT MOD IDEA I NEED HELP" threads without substance, here's a wip shot of an odst almost finished (little bit of texture work)

Sweet. I dunno much about getting stuff running in Crysis, but I would be glad to model. Was I just supposed to unwrap the tank or was I supposed to do more to it?

I might (BIG MIGHT) try to help you out if I can in Crysis when I get back home. I've been looking for some project to keep me going, you'd have to wait until some time next week though.

ah, forget about the tank. We have a lot of other stuff that needs doing first.

What went wrong with unreal? It's a great engine.

Not sure if this really helps much, but to add on what I repped you with:
    xml parameters

The xml itself doesn't look too complex, but then again, I've never handled CryEngine before. I left my copy of Crysis back home, so sorry I can't be of more help :/

It's good, but it was too difficult to get things to work the way we wanted them to. Crysis was a closer match and we had a better history of getting stuff ingame and creating levels faster with it, so we switched to crysis.

Ah. I've only done mapping in unreal which was really fluid and worked well Asset importation (can) be a pain in the ass though.
