    avg

    -edit- i pulled a Heathen.

turns out it was avg and all i needed to do to fix it was add an exception to the My Games folder.

i feel dumb for not searching a little more.

Go offline and turn avg off? I had this problem and had to go to window mode (alt+enter) if I wanted to change settings.

I've played all 3 Crysis games on my PC, but that was through Steam.

And the Framerate sucked, even though I blame that on SecureROM.

I blame it on Memory leak. I don't lose Frames until extended amount of gameplay. SecureROM is not a problem for me nor do i find any trace of it on my computer or in my game...

Whenever I play a steam game disabling the in-game in options can boost me anywhere from 10-20 fps. Especially in fallout and command and conquer, it lags me bad in those games.

Used AVG for along time then dropped it for security essentials, you should do the same.
