You guys aren't hearing that? The buffer on my soundcard is running out, and it's resulting in glitches and pops in the music after a little while.
It happens in the first video starting at about 40 seconds, where it starts stuttering.
It happens throughout most of the second video.
You'll definitely hear it if you set it to 480p

Bringing up the pip boy and then hitting escape a few times is a temp fix, but that would have broken the atmosphere of my predicament. Seriously, I got trapped in two rooms in the space of 30 minutes. Fallout 3 is an alright game, but its lack of polish really, really shows.
STALKER, on the other hand, is an amazing game that suffers from bad polish. Fortunately, there are mods like Stalker Complete 2009 (now 2012, apparently) for that. With that mod on, the game is nearly perfect.
