They'll propose a bill in June -- which ends up getting voted on in the senate... so it'll get voted on by our elected members of parliament (mine is the Speaker of the House so I don't think he gets a vote -- conflict of interest).
The problem is that for the most part -- MPs vote on the party lines... so you really need the Liberal, NDP, and Bloq to strike it down. The majority of the people we elect's job consists of slapping on a desk and yelling "here here". (Yeah I'm being facetious here -- but you understand my point)
Of course if we get an early election -- all bills will be killed so this could go tits up in one of three ways:
1) Issue gets edited before it becomes a bill
2) House strikes down the bill
3) Election is called before it's pushed through parliament.
Obviously there's other ways to kill a bill -- but those three are the most likely.
No, Uma Thurman doesn't work in Canadian Politics.

... if they have a candidate in your riding.
You know... if the Three Strikes rule gets enacted -- we should get 3 artists to accuse the CRIA and their member executives of Copyright Infringement.

Get them kicked off the internet. No need for a judge.
