paladin, like i said before, im seeing nothing but a bleak future in the videogame industry. in the past few years there have been a ton of game releases. i can only think of a handful that were actually good. big corporate heads are using the industry to get money, and fucking over the gamer. look at activision. look what theyre doing with their games. look was ubisoft did with assassins creed 2 on PC. this isnt about marijuana, this is about people not doing anything about getting fucked over. marijuana is an issue of legality. this is an issue of some greedy fuck not caring about the end consumer. the more people that realize this -> the less people put up with this shit -> the more inspired people that create their own indie game development teams -> reforming the whole industry. im not sitting here talking out my ass with wishful thinking. what i suggested is a legitimate reality. we have seen plenty of indie devs so far. the shit theyve been putting out is great. look at minecraft for example: programmed from scratch in java by one guy, costs 10 euros to play forever, and its a fucking awesome game.
does anybody ELSE think i sound stupid right now? please speak up if you do, because i dont think what im saying is too stupid. im sure somebody here agrees with me.
E: i know im coming off as a bit inflammatory here, and i mean you no disrespect paladin, but the main point here is look how popular call of duty is. look how many people play this game. the ridiculously vast majority of the playerbase are idiots who dont care how shit the game actually is. they just care about it because its the name brand. its almost turning into a fucking abercrombie and fitch deal: playing the game because its popular. i figure let the industry split in two directions: the sheep who blindly play the shitty corporate games, and the intelligent gamers like us who choose good games. im almost making gaming sound like a religion, but thats because for some of us it fucking is.
