god that mode with the plane blocking half your view is annoying. i hope you don't need to do that.
It really bothers me that Ace Combat has a regenerative health system now...
EDIT: My doubts about the Close-Assault system seem to be coming true. I don't like how it steals the players spatial awareness around him, and the quick-time event dodging bothers me a lot too. Can't it just be like the other Ace Combats where if there was a missile or a plane on my tail an alarm would go off and I could just EVADE it myself? Ace Combat 6 had a perfect UI and control scheme, they should have just stuck with that. It's feels like this game is just going be holding my hand the entire time.

Apparently the close combat mode is optional. If you don't hit both RB+LB, it doesn't go into that mode. The close combat mode is fatiguing on the eyes, though. Too fast and too jerky.
Gets really awesome around the minute mark.

I'll admit it now, I abused the shit out of the USAS-12 with slugs. I don't give a fuck.
