Time to go download some keygens and pirated movies.
Hollywood and software giants are like giant aspies. They don't get the subtle hints that the stricter they license their media, the more it's going to get cracked and pirated, especially when the DRM gets in the way for legitimate end users/viewers.
I'm not saying I am or am not contributing to it, but if the bill gets passed, the results will probably be hilarious.
I know it's alphabetized, but I find it hilarious that Autodesk and Adobe are at the top. Two of the worst software monopolists right now. Sorry, I don't care how productive your software is, but paying $4000 for something intangible (like code) is a joke for non-studio purposes. How is a man supposed to teach himself to use your product so he can get a job, using your product (and therefore supporting it), if he can't afford the product at home to learn with?
Meeting was adjourned. They're going to try again in 2012.
