Good thing I am going the GR gun show in 3 weeks and 3 days here in MI, gotta by them milsurps by the crates. But no seriously the only guns I'm considering right now is some other type of Mosin Nagant or a SKS, perfably a Russian one. No Yugo or Chinese-export american market crap, any other varient of SKS's will be fine for a decent price since I don't have a ton of money to spare. I remember running into a Albanian SKS back in October, I really wish I got it but I didn't.

Don't worry I inspect every firearm carefully. With the Russian SKS's I'm typically picky since I'm after a non-refurbed one with matching numbers...a blued bolt and blued bayonet doesn't appeal to me.

Depends on where they wanted to shoot me lol. Also fuck no to 5.56. Shit will shred inside you and ruin your body. I'd way rather get shot by a Mosin.

Only if it's M193. M855 (SS109) doesn't really shred, which is a criticism that's been levied against it more than once.

Apart from that, the higher power of the 7.62x54R will do much worse things to you than a 5.56 if it clips you instead of a direct hit. Terrible, terrible things. Like splitting your entire body open (like an axe hitting wood) and letting stuff fall out. I take it you've seen the ballistic gel results, no?
