So. In all this time I haven't been able to take down a vehicle with the repair torch. The other night I got one tank and disabled another. Lol. Crazy how that stuff works out sometimes.

I saw people using the torch to take out tanks in videos, but in-game you really need to find a retard in order to do that. They can't move much, otherwise you'll either get absent-mindedly squashed or the driver will catch on to the random damage and either run you over or move ahead a bit and then blow you up.

Got a couple more today. As long as they don't hold down shift when trying to drive away from you, you can stay on them pretty well. However, I was running in to them jumping out and I would find myself fixing the tank and then getting shot. lol

I do it all the time, as long as they don't have proxy sensors anyway. Do it on the engine side, kills it really quick.

And yeah as long as they don't go boosting anywhere you can backpedal/walk foward and continue to do it without getting harmed.

Whats great is when they try to be all pro and get out to shoot you, then you just jump in and drive away :V

The problem with raping them in the ass and dealing massive damage is that all they have to do is move backwards and run you down. If you're quick and on level ground, though, you can go prone and it'll move right over you and then you can rape it from underneath.

I've taken more tanks out using the Torch than with RPG's. Just don't do it in an open place, if they get boxed in all you gotta do is run around and they will panic

I've had tanks back into me when I was torching them and I didn't get killed, or even hurt. They need to be moving quick to do any damage, its not like this is halo 1 :/

Same here. I sort of just bounce off of them.
