I'm aware of not to use it in semi-auto rifles, I have been aware of that for a long time lol. Also I have been considering a semi-auto PKM or semi-auto DP-28 though they cost a bunch. I wont be using it so often in my 2 mosin nagants either, sparingly I will shoot it and it wont be often (when I mean it wont be often it wont be often) either till I get a PKM or DP-28.
good lad. heavy stuff is usually better for accuracy and will buck wind better (all the target stuff is 200gr boattail with a really deep ogive), but the mg stuff generates higher pressures, which is why it's a no-no - it's not so much projectile weight as the perfect storm of that and powder charge.
dp-28s are pretty rad.
since you mentioned PKM, anyone want to go halfsies on this? http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=292970829
Took a couple of my guns out yesterday to celebrate Independence Day. Finally got to shoot the SKS-NR and it's awesome. So fun to shoot. The Romanian magazines I got a while back work great. The Mini-14 runs steel cased like a champ. I also finally got to test the cheap Tapco mag I bought for it and it surprisingly feeds fine. 150 rounds of Tula 7.62 and 100 rounds of Wolf .223 downrange; it sure was fun. I also shot a brick of Federal .22LR with my 10/22 and it ran great out of the BX-25 mags.
