That would be pretty neat. Would that mean no generated structures though? No mineshafts means no melons. No strongholds means no End. And even then then how would the nether and the end generate?

I think mineshafts, strongholds, and all that good stuff still gets generated the same as normal. All you're doing with WorldPainter is shaping the terrain, biomes, vegetation, and that sort of stuff. All of the randomly generated below ground stuff still gets generated the same way as it would normally. As for the Nether and End, it would have no effect on them at all. Each are their own worlds.

Alright. Then I say use Worldpainter. It'll be interesting making the biomes accurate though, now that there are specific biome-generated structures and ores.

Do you understand that Bukkit has only released incredibly early development builds for 1.3.1 (R0.1), and that almost no plugins have been updated yet?

I didn't use any features the plugins provided and was tired of waiting for them to update.

The server has been updated to 1.3.1. Come test it out. Some notes:

You should spawn automatically into the new world, I think. If not, use /spawn.

Your old warps should still work. If not, let me know. You can also use /warp 1.0world and /warp 1.2world to travel to the old worlds.

You have one week (August 12) to transfer your stuff from the old worlds to the new. After that, the old worlds will be disconnected and no longer accessible. I will be uploading them soon so you can download them.

More things to know:

Fall damage is on.
All other forms of damage are on.
You cannot use warps in the new world.
McMMO is on. I'm not sure yet how bug free it is on this early Bukkit build. I guess we'll find out.

There's more info I need to give I'm sure, but I'll get to it later. Also, I ended up not using WorldPainter, since it can't generate villages and temples. I decided to generate the map normally and then VoxelSnipe the fuck out of it. I've made two big mountains so far. I'll do more stuff later.
