Beta drivers for AMD came out the other day; my game is running much better than it was previous to those drivers.

The last beta drivers I tried for amd had terrible fan controls so I reverted. Unless the fan controls etc are better I won't get beta drivers from them again.

AMD was just butthurt that they couldn't optimize their drivers for the game before Nvidia did.

Not when the manufacturers pay the developers to let them optimize their rendering code so their customers get a superior experience.
nVidia is the fucking mafia of the graphics card world. If AMD got in there to optimize as well, they'd kneecap some people.

^^ This, 100% this. Nvidia has been paying devs to use their kits/code to optimize games for their cards for a long time. AMD has only recently gotten on that train.
