It may have something to do with your Computer RAM and memory in the CE Folder. It ran fine on 1 GB for me

That is strange that a map is made from ripped content not even released yet.
It was a fully custom map based off of E3 2004 and various other reference trailers, and the H2CE team was comprised of such CE luminaries as:

LightningAnd maybe KiLLa and one or two others. I just know that the eight people I listed were definitely on the team.

Considering Nitrous is on HG, it's probably already done.
But then again, Nitrous released another New Mombasa map called Earth City (it's available for download over at Halomaps in the Halo 2 maps section).

Apparently the only variant that I played on that maps was CTF, but never slayer. Its been awhile since I played on that map tho.

CTF was the best ever on that map, especially if you were the guy who went up the teleport and sniped...just watch the kill count rise... :)

Sorry for that mistake teh lag. I have played HCE Zanzibar, sometimes it is good, but it can gett boring if it is by yourself. Oh well, I just liked using the energy sword to get to the top of the map to snipe and get the gravity rifle. Fun.

Don't ask for updates, they'll give us some when they are ready. Spv2 will probably come out soon. Last I heard, they were around 75% done.

id like to know if the animations of the weapons we have already seen are changing. im definitly a fan of quality animation. i get excited about a new weapon, even if i know exactly how it will fire and play, just to see its melee, reload, and idle animations.

We've got new anims for the BR and Spiker already. We might get some for the AR as well, that depends on how good leet is in bed with masterz. I made some Ma5K revisions, but I wasn't too happy with how they turned out - we might see new Ma5K stuff, but it's not guaranteed. The sentinel beams got a MAJOR overhaul, with new weapons, new skins, and new models. We might have other new anims that I missed, but that's all I can think of now.

No. There may be some minor similarites in the idea of "5 people do stuff and fight stuff," but from then on it branches off alot. Voltron is definately more awesome.

Also Power ranger toys sucked compaired to Voltron. If you remember the all metal Voltron toy. That thing was heavy and sometimes the pieces would not go together right, but it was a well made toy. A metal dicast voltron toy is worth over 500 bucks if you got one in mint condition.

I'm really kinda looking forward to seeing the sentinel because oddly enough I had a fixation on using that weapon whenever I could........Maybe its the whole kill your enemy with lasers thing......
I'm already assuming they fixed the aim on that thing......cause it was annoying in SPv1.

Voltron is definately more awesome.I'd suggest redoing the AR animations a little bit. The recoiling animation goes a bit too far back for a weapon that's shouldered, unless the Chief likes to dislocate his shoulder to dampen recoil.

Sure you notice the recoils enough to dislocate his shoulder but when your playing do you really think about that small detail that much?
I rather focus on the guy firing at me then how far back to gun goes as it fires.

I'm new here, and I'm goin to start out by saying that I actually thought that the AR featured in the recent Coagulation map was very well done. I didn't even notice the shoulder dislocating recoil that much.
Anyway, I dled V1 just yesterday and I thought it was great, which is why I'm here. So I am wondering about the battle rifle right now. I really like the whole BRG as it is right now in V1, so I gotta ask, why does it look different in one of the screenies posted on the first pic? Or is that even a battle rifle? And this is my personal view, but I would rather the CMT team keep the levels laggy if it means keeping all the shiny eye candy. I say this mainly because I dont have any lag myself, lol. But if they are reducing polygon counts and glitches to relieve the lag, then by all means, but I really hope they don't get rid of the great graphics just because some people's computers are too old to handle it. Well great graphics for halo at least...

The original BRG is still in the mod; that gun in the first picture is the new MA5K Assault Carbine, based on the corresponding weapon described in the book Halo: Ghosts of Onyx.

Basically the MA5K is a stripped down Assault Rifle. You can try on the new MP maps CMT released.
Also Haloking nitpicking does help sometimes but.......how many of us REALLY care about how far back the gun goes when firing?

K, thanks for clearing up that whole rifle thing, I stopped reading the novels after First Strike... I'll probably go out and buy that Onyx book right this second now.
I'm goin to be nitpicking about something random, on PoA, the logos on the doors should be removed. They just make it so obvious that they were rigged from Doom 3. But you guys are probably way past this, and have already redone the whole level by now, right?

Yeah, the logo was distorted, and the coloring stood out too... plus it was the first level, there werent that much fighting goin on to distract me, well cept up until the part when you see the two hunters, I was surprised by them...

I never noticed that before. I have DOOM 3 (excellent game).

As for the Hunters, I was just dumbfounded when I couldn't kill them in the usual manner.

yea on legendary, it took forever to kill with with a brg and plasma pistol (yes i carry around a plasma pistol, but only to take down elite's shields with one charge and kill with with the brg, mwhahahah)

lol, easier with plasma pistol, it takes down their shield, you kill with them with anything else you can get your hands on, just not the plasma pistol itself, usually a brg, smg or shotgun. in Spv2, i'll probably be using a plasma pistol and brute spiker hehe =)

I just stick with the good ol' human rifles and smash their butts into the heads of elites. I'm old fashioned and like close combat like that. Never did like the sniper rifle, the original or the new one.

I usually carry around a shotgun (If I can find one if there isn't one just a SMG), and either a Plasma or Battle rifle. Too bad shotgun ammunition is hard as hell to come by (Not including the library of course). BR ammunition aint so hard to come by in the first couple of levels. Just look for the Spartans that got blown up by another ones BRG.

I tend to stay away from the BRG. I hate the Battle Rifle in Halo PC because none of them (except the H2CE one) feel right. All of them are lack-luster, the sounds are horrible, and the view and recoil animations are just, bad.

I like using the needler and plasma pistol. Nothing like killing grunts with the plasma pistol and killing hunters with the needler.

It would be even better if you started off the next level with the MA5K for consistency (since you jut came off of the ship, and it is unlikely that you magically receiver an MA5C). Maybe have an MA5C lying on the ground from one of the Marines.
Also, do the MA5C and MA5K utilize the same ammunition (if they appear on the same map together)?

Yes. Silenced SMG will be in 2 levels (T&R and another one) whereas the SMG will be in most others. At least that was the last I heard.

They CAN use the same ammo packs, but it is impossible in the game engine to pick up ammo while holding one variant from another.

Well, you won't be able to get a non silenced SMG on a level with a SMG anyway. Not much need for stealth in halo other than T&R and AOTC.
In the Halo engine, does the silencer really affect the alertness of the AI enemies? When I played SPV1, I never observed the silencer giving any stealth advantages. I know that in MP, it's different because of the human ear, but I'm not sure if it can apply in SP.
After all, when I snipe enemies from afar with the silenced rifle, they can still retaliate...if I use the rifle and an unseen enemy is around the corner, he'll hear the shot.

Yah the silencer never really did do anything. All my enemies knew my position after a few shots silenced or not. I still like it due to the fact I never liked the loud bang.

AI can not hear the silenced shot. I've used it many times. Do remember soon as you shoot someone, they will often say something or fire back, and everyone will hear it. It's usefull for ambushing grunts or jackals.

The pic was taken in the unreleased CMT MP level Delta Ruins, which I have been using as a personal test map. It is not part of SP2. Disregard the beta build watermark, it means nothing in the context of this picture.

the AR and whatever part of the FP arm that's showing looks really cool. but whatever happened to the 4th nade? the HUD has been reverted back to the ones from the MP maps....what's going on here? or is it just a placeholder HUD?

Also, on the second pic, there's a S-III in the background with an MA5k, thats agreed. But why is it white? I thought conscars already skinned it. Does that mean you got it to work....? The color changie? Or did you just have the non-skinned one ingame? Beta build maybe?

Lava? There is no lava in this game.

The HUD numer system Lag has his HUD displays the date he got the latest tagset. Thats why he has no 4th nade HUD.
