I hope you guys have at least tried to make the sniper rifle a heavy and powerful weapon as it was meant to be. Halo 3 got close with the slower rate of fire due to the recoil.

Bolt movement is is the fire animation. Unless you have a way of diabling animation interpolation, I don't think it's possible to make it better - it starts all the way back in the anim at frame 0 and remains until frame 3 before moving back.
I think you will be happy with what we have then.
Yeah, I'm irritated by it too. If anyone knows how to deactivate interpolation I'd love to know how.

-Fixing the color of the compass in FP

-Revising the sniper shaders given a general consensus
-Changing the scanline density
Stuff that won't happen :
-Editing the model for anything but an extreme problem
-Editing the skin beyond a miniscule adjustment
-Making the scope see-through. (Shader_models don't accept blended alpha, which would mean no smooth fade-out at the sides, which would result in ugliness beyond reason.)
I like.
My only complaint: Those buttons on the side really stick out. I know they're designed to correspond to different scope settings, but they just look out of place and way too bright, especially when compared to the muted colors of the rest of the gun.

No, halo ce isn't advanced enough for that.
The buttons seam to bright and cell shaded. Maybe make them like the AR button?

And the buttons....they are a little bright, dont you agree? Looks like it was painted in MS paint after everything else. If anything, make them regular buttons the same color as the rest of the gun, but make the dot in the center the color of whatever setting.
I might ms paint what I am talking about in a few seconds if I dont crap myself from this stomach ache.

the buttons are fine, they just need to not have the other colours lit, only when they're pressed, so they're not all on at once making uglyness in colour vomit.

Search the map name and add CMT to the string. (i.e. Pillar of Autumn CMT, Halo CMT, Truth and Reconciliation CMT, etc.) You should be able to find more than one map at the download place.

Waiting is half the fun. For me, it's much more satisfying to see the evolution of a mod coming together after a few years of development. It's mature and allowed the team to have time to improve and see their improvement. Also, time allows for the better overall experience since people are still finding new ways to amaze us with this old, but not yet crumbling proprietary engine. Imagine how satisfying it'll be for them to see their baby go from a teen (SPV1) to an adult(SPV2).

So by the same logic I should be warned to not put my hand on the stove because I did it when I was little. SPV1 was a rush job done in 6th months with less than cooperative team members who were determined to undermine others. Not to mention, we were all armatures and really had no clue what we were doing.

The majority of people who make a big fuss about people not being able to take critisim are the ones who enjoy the drama. You really think I critted Strider, DA Ender, Frain, Hunter, DeeHunter because I wanted them to get better or I enjoyed watching them make a fool of themselves? No offence to Rossmum in his olden days, but theres a person who thrives off forum drama, and what makes the most drama on the forum?
Crit was initially used as a mean to attack people within the rules, then you were all stupid enough to belive us (by US I don't mean CMT, but other people on this forum who are nototious for said crit) when we said we were trying to help. It really dates back to the gearbox days, when the administration wouldn't do anything about the "unwanted" people in the community (ie strider) so members of the forums needed a way to attack them within the rules.
