That's very true.When normal mapping, etc was introduced to gaming, it was very useful in improving performance. But now, along with a normal map, there are spec maps, occlusion maps, color maps, diffuse maps, alpha maps, detail maps, and whatever else. All those layered effects will take up a lot of energy if the normal map has to calculate all of the normals to create that effect. in higher quality games its better to just model in those purdy little details.

I've already started over. i got a new reference. It was a play around model. i made it from what i thought would be cool. not everything has to be exact. and Halo is in the future.
