Yarp. Max's whole modifiers thing slows down the pace of things ALOT. Plus it is a constant chunk out of the UI.
Plus, the way that you can transform the UI in Maya by selecting a different mode (polygons, animation, rendering) is just awesome because it means more room for you to work in and doesn't clog up the screen with shit your not using.
And I still stand by this statement. Can you select faces/edges/verts in Max's uv editor and then being able to directly modify them with them still being selected?
No. Maya lets you multi task. If you know Maya well enough, and have a big enough screen, you can model, unwrap and tweak shaders at the exact same time.
Why do you think Unreal Ed, the editor for the most licenced game engine, Unreal Engine 3, is based alot, on Maya?
