If you want a realistic war experience, join the military. This is a video game, nothing about it has to be, or is, realistic at all.
In all honesty, I don't think the IERC will be that big of a problem. It's pretty much a predator missile but moves much more slowly and you don't get an aerial view to drop it from. This limits you to using it on an enemy in your line of sight, driving after someone via UAV/Radar, or sitting in one spot exposed while driving it around. The ballistic knife is pretty ridiculous, and I hope that you only get one or two shots with it and that it is effected by gravity.
Apparently the reticle is customizable. Also, there may or may not be a 'jump and go prone' option, which is nice to see (though I hope you are unable to shoot while doing so). It seems there is a napalm kill streak as well, and hopefully they have a game mode that disables kill streaks like in Modern Warfare 2.
I for one am more interested in the story than the multiplayer as I kind of enjoyed the story in Modern Warfare 2 despite its ridiculousness. Also, is a zombie mode confirmed? Part of me was hoping instead of zombies, they went with communist aliens or something new and more interesting.
I'll get it when it goes on sale on steam (which, seeing how MW2 is still $60, may be a few years), or if I really feel like spending$50$60(?) on it.

Indeed I too am somewhat excited for the campaign. The setting is something I suppose is 'unique,' and with the way that Treyarch copies Infinity Ward so much not even in just MP, but SP too (think: Ghillie in the Mist>Vendetta) and with the amount of variety found in MW2, it's [hopefully] safe to say this campaign will be just as fun (and action packed ._.) as MW2's.
Or, they could say "MP is the best it gives money screw SP lololol" and fuck us over big time.
