yeah acogs on snipers in cod4 was fricking amazing. dragunov acog with bandolier uav jammer and steady aim was one of my favorite setups. for some reason i found it alot easier to get headshots with acogs than i did with the normal sniper scope, but only with the m21 and dragunov. the bolt action rifles are a little harder to use imo.

my favorite map with that setup is bloc. nobody ever knows where you are due to UAV jammer, so you can look across the map and take people out of windows then move to a new location before people realize where you are. so much fun.

I think I shall try that out. I installed COD4 on my laptop and have to lvl up to get some of those perks, though. I unlocked the Dragunov in MP just now. I went on an M40 ACOG rampage. It seems almost too easy to kill people with it. I wasn't even playing on a hardcore server and I was killing people with single shots using the ACOG. That never happened when I was using the regular scope.

I don't like what they did to the snipers. They must be trying to make the sniper more of a support role.
That doesn't work in CoD unless the maps are well suited for it.

The sniper was always supposed to be a suppression weapon.
Call of duty is no different.
The idea of the long range snipers is so you can guard an area from a distance deterring any would be rambos from entering your view and to support your team as they captured objectives.

I hate everyone and anyone that does that quick scoping bullshit, but the video spartan posted was just bullshit. those should have all been kills. Sniper rifle is just nerfed TOO much. the speed it takes to go in and out of the scope already seems to be a big enough hindrance to playing like a fag.

I've determined the M14 is the best gun ever. I just went 25 and 7 against someone whose already level 35.
