There's already one, go type in future weapons military shotgun. Basically it looks like a Tommy gun had an orgy with a shotgun, making it pretty much what you said. Oddly enough though, when you said that, the picture of a gun blade went into my head..and I haven't played final fantasy in 3 years.

Try painting in details and not dodge tooling for shine. I know its a pain in the arse but it can come out much better:

I had a red omni on it, ify our monitor has a configuration like iron's it comes off with a pink hue.

if thats the case you had may aswell give the low down about all of the impracticalities of all of the halo weapons...
i dont remember him saying he was sending off this design to the pentagon to get processed and made a regularly used firearm in the army.
i think the gun is georgeous tbh... something fresh to the constant stream of military genre'd weaponry that gets posted here.

65 frames. May be a bit disproportionate speed wise.. Rendering anims always seems to make them a bit speedier. I may have to slow it down in max to make up for that.

Personally I would give the gun a little flick to clear the mag, it looks kind of weird just shooting off like it's spring loaded.

-The motion of pulling the bolt is "cancelled" by the gun's body moving - the first time I watched it I didn't realized he even pulled it. I don't know what exactly you should do, but find a way to make it more visible.
-Hand clips mag when he puts it on. Finger position in general there could use some work. It doesn't look like he's really holding it.

1. When he releases the magazine, the gun "flicks" to the right, while the magazine ejects to the left. This just looks odd to me.
2. The bolt cycle isn't prominent enough, as teh lag stated. I would make him sweep his hand down the gun completely as opposed to a "back and forth" motion to make it more obvious that he's pulling it.
3. The right thumb is... bent in a really awkward way in the origin, and throughout the animation. (once again, I forgive you because you're using the H1 rig)

@ cad: I can see that your copying the H1 AR reload, but when he pulls the magazine i notice that he hesitates once the mag is fully freed from the gun, and then pulls it straight down. to me, this looks really unnatural. Also, when he inserts the magazine and pushes it a second time, there isn't really enough emphasis to show force. What I would do is rotate the wrist a little bit so it looks less like hes pushing it with his thumb and more like hes slapping it in with his palm. That might not follow suit exactly with h1's animations but I think it would look a bit better. I also don't like how huge the hand looks when hes pushing the bolt back but I know theres really nothing that you could do about that.
PS: I want your rig :(

After 3 months of hard time working on this, its finally done!
We got a lot of inspiration from other video games and our love goes out to the people who helped this dream come true.
It all started back 4 months ago when we wanted to create something special and new, so my friend donut said: "lets do this!" And I was like "yeah!" And so we did do it, and here we are now.
The process was a complicated one, and as soon as open sauce comes well happily share with you the secret of how this amazing piece of work was made.
Well It took us 3 weeks of me slaving over a computer screen concepting, as we scratched numerous designs, some of which made rocket scientists look like teletubbies.
After the concept was done, we knew we had nailed it right on the head. Donut quickly got to work on it and modeled it, which right now is about 95678 tris, without optimization. Next icee beautifully animated it for standing, walking, crawling, reload 1, 2 , 3 ,4 ,5 ,6 ,7 8, 9, 10 ,11, 12 ,13, 14 and 15.
Then went through 18 melees, designed 4 origins for 3p, fp, 2p, and matrix bullet time p. He also designed 5 different idle positions and then unwrapped it.
This took him 1 month.
Then it was my turn, working onto the point that my fingers bled, I carefully skinned and worked on this model. We poured our souls into it!
Without further ado here are the credits!:

- geo (ideas and support)
- chains (concept artist, skinner)
- Selentic (being a smart ass)

some of the proportions seem a little off, but it's damn sure better than anything I can draw. Looks good. Is he going to be holding something in his left hand, or is he giving a hand signal? Are you gonna be showing whatever it is he's looking at?

Or that could be me exaggerating things and making use of my overactive imagination. Either way, it would be better if he had more emotion/passion into the way he throws his grenades...
But aside from that, just like alot of your poses, I love it.

Its pretty good, the only crit I have for it is to make the thumb on the bottom left hand thick, as it just looks like a 5th finger, instead of a thumb......
